Parole Open House

On May 1, 2008 Woman at the Well staff and residents hosted our second annual Open House for area parole officers. It was our pleasure to open our doors to them and to show them the place our residents call home. Good conversations, good networking, and good food were shared by all!

Jubilee Ministry
The Jubilee Ministry is based on Luke 4:18, "The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor - the year of jubilee freedom." Woman at the Well House has again been named a Jubilee Ministry.  Currently there are almost 600 Jubilee Ministry Centers in the Episcopal Church, including Puerto Rico, Haiti, and Honduras.  These centers are community -based sites that are dedicated to improving the lives of the poor through programs of outreach, evangelism, empowerment, and advocacy.
